Belfast overview

The largest city and capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast. Although visitors must arrive by boat or plane from the rest of the UK, a change of currency is not needed. Visitors can slide into city life here with ease and it will not be long before they are eating and drinking just like the locals. Museums play a big part in the tourism life here and visitors can learn plenty about how the country was formed by wandering from museum to museum. The recent boom in tourism is largely down to the safer environment that has been settled over the past few years but it is easier if politics or religion are not brought up in conversation with the locals.
